This place looks quite nice from the outside, which is why it invites in a lot of people but actually has really substandard food and interior, for the price of some of the top marked seafood restaurants in the city, like Marisqueria Ramiro.

Heard fado singers on our way back home and decided to stop for a couple of minutes. Ended up staying an hour and having pretty good fruit salad and icecream, while listening to great fado performance. The place was clean, the wine was good, the...More

This place is not only looks like garbage, it's just another terrible place with food garbage for tourists. Overpriced, with rude service and stale food. Do not support these rascals, in lisbon there are many normal restaurants.

We stumbled on this restaurant, and it turned out to be a wonderful discovery. As others have mentioned, the service is not fast (but we didn't find it terribly slow, either). The fish was delicious, fresh and at 9Euros (maybe it was 10??), about as...More

From the outside this wonderful restuarant does look anything like what it really is. The Salmon on the grill, andBeef Kabob were the best we ever had. This restuarant is in slow coocking method, so give it a good hour and half for your dinner.

For our trip this was the only restaurant we did not check out first on Trip Advisor. That was a mistake. The lemonade did not at all resemble the pictures in the menu, and the vegetarian dish had canned mushrooms and frozen beans. Dont go...More

Went there for a late lunch. Service was okay- not necessarily the friendliest place. I walked to the restaurant and passed by the outdoor area which was a nice area with a big cooking oven outside. So you won’t get too cold in the winter...More

Family run Portuguese restaurant serving home style cooking, all freshly prepared and very good. On Fado nights it can get quite busy. We went twice, once on a Fado music night, once on another evening. Both times were very good. The two young waiting staff...More

The reason for our choice of that restaurant was our wish to attend a Fado night; as the place was located close to our sleeping place, we reserved a table for the night and attended. During this visit we had a rather attentive young waiter...More

Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and,
of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music.
The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755
destroyed most of the city but the contiguous
neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained
standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent
Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the
Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of
