If your looking to grab a big meal for under 5 euros, this is the spot. You will have to wait about 30 minutes in line but you get a large sandwich and fries for very cheap. If you choose to sit upstairs be ready for a noisy meal and outside is pretty crowded as well. It's defiantly for people... More

I love the concept but I love the price even more. Loads of diferente sandwiches. Popular with the locals.

We didn't read a review before visiting. They had a great selection on their menu so we walked in. We split a falafel sandwich and fries. The sandwich was pretty tasty and the fries were good too. Service was efficent and speedy. The seating is limited and I would suggest having one in your party go upstairs to secures a... More

if you are on a budget this is the place for you. Most likely the cheapest place to eat in Belém. Definitely not a place for a romantic meal, just to get you going before you eat pastéis de Belém.

Steps from the famous Monterio dos Jeronimos this cafe offers numerous choices for vegetarians and the accompanying omnivores. Meals are quick, tastes and affordable. An excellent place for lunch during your trip to Belem and Ajuda and considerably more affordable..

The prices are good and the food is okay for the price. We hat some vegi kebap with Fries. The food is better than the Restaurant looks like. They always wear New gloves for each meal. Nice personal.

How do they do it, so fast and so fresh and 'value of money. Waiters always smiling in spite of the queues up to the bus stops. Freshly mad falafel wrap was my favourite. Mush a visit. Highly recommended.

We were drawn by the queue here and the menu which offers lots of affordable meal options. The wait was a good 15 minutes, and probably not really worth it. There seemed to be different rules for tourists and locals - several locals just cut the line through a side door and seemed to be friends with the cashier. They... More

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
