What an incredible restaurant we found and visited in Lisbon this week, Oven Lisboa is OMGoodness! The food 🤤 The service ⭐️ The price ✔️ The ambiance 👍🏼 This place is a real winner, if the chef @harrycpn doesn’t get a Michelin star sometime soon it’s a travesty!! If you like Indian/Nepalese style food you simply can’t afford to miss this place! Honestly it’s such a winner and the prices are so fair. The decor is beautiful which is rare for this type of price range, normally the chairs are not that comfy and the tables are tiny. This is a small restaurant, but with huge offerings, every dish was incredible. Honestly I just wish I could find more of these little diamonds to share with you. If you are in Lisbon, coming to Lisbon, know anyone who is, please do try Oven Lisboa Check out the menus, see if you can guess the dishes we had?

I had a really good time. I would say best Indian food place in whole lisbon. The atmosphere is so cozy and the people are polite which makes the food even tastier. Mix berries lassi was a surprise for me, I’ve never heard about it and it was so delicious. Mo:Mo(dumplings) was so juicy and the sauce was perfect match for it. For main course I tried their Lamb Shank which was well cooked with amazing flavors. The presentation was so pretty I almost felt sad to ruin it with my knife and fork . 😁 The chef briefly explained about the dish I tried which was a very nice gesture. Everything is 100/100 whether it be food or service. All the best!

Hari is a chef with the gift of combining the right ingredients to make various curries with vegetables and meats. Vishal and Vishnu served us while we visited this gem of a restaurant. They were mindful of our allergies and dietary restrictions. The serving vessels are made especially for this restaurant which keeps the food warm. The naan bread is out of this world. Try all of the appetizers with freshly made chutneys. We ate three meals at the Oven in two weeks, where we had the opportunity to try various dishes, each unique and delicious, to put it lightly. The restaurant is rather busy so make reservations in advance. The atmosphere is serene, the restaurant is modern and clean, the service is exceptional, and the food is remarkable. Enjoy this fantastic gem of a place when you are in Lisbon.

Me and my partner stayed in Lisbon for five days, and this was our favourite meal the entire trip. We ate a range of meals during our stay all great but this one topped them all. The food was really tasty and well presented, and the staff were lovely. The chef even came over to ask us if the food was ok which was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend. We had two chicken tikka masalas, one boiled rice to share, a garlic naan, and some mineral water, ( as well as free popadoms and sauces) it came to about €30-35 for both of us. Definitely worth it because we were so full.

We ate at indian restaurants in many different countries and continents, but never anything as incredibly GOOD as this. The waiters and waitress were so very nice and Warm and the food was excellent and very beatifully presented. Price were extremely reasonable. We warmly recommend this place and our only regeret is, that we are going home to Denmark tomorrow morning, and therefore can't come back soon.

Read about it and decided it seemed interesting. Not easy to book, the lines are always occupied. The restaurant, quite confortable, the music is horrible! The staff are very competent. Food is absolutely delicious, refined, exquisite, somebody is certainly taking care of this - the chef, who, as all staff, humbly asked our opinion. We drank Sangria, not cheap, but then again it could'nt be given the quality of fruits involved. The only minor issue was with a king prawn starter (two prawns! almost 10 euros), excellent but should offer a little more quantity. All in all, Lisbon can take pride in having The Oven to offer. A must go!!!

Great location, fantastic food and service that could not be faulted. The restaurant was more than willing to tailor to dietary needs. We were made to feel like VIP guests throughout the evening and it was a special privilege when Chef Hard Chapagain came and introduced himself. Top quality ingredients, expertly prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

What can I say? I fell in love as soon as I entered this restaurant. They had this 'tandoori Oven' so, the best part was I could my food being cooked in front of me which was obviously very exciting. They have options for vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, low/medium, or high spicy levels so it's very convenient to choose your food the way you like. The waiter made sure to explain in brief about the dish I chose which was impressive. Overall, I would say time and money spent well. I can't wait to explore other dishes they have. Thank you for your awesome service.

Good food, but surely not the right behaviour - and way too pricey for the quality available. Went to this place while on a trip to Lisbon. The interiors are a bit cramped, and the prices seemed too high for the quality and quantity. For example, 4 momos ( chicken dumplings) set you back by Eur 8.5, and tandoori chicken consisting of 1 chicken leg costs Eur 15. The tandoori items are quite good, but the rest of the food is fairly standard quality. However, what really left a sour taste in the mouth was the behaviour and utter lack of responsibility, humility, and service. They brought out the wrong main course dish, and when we pointed it out, they initially insisted that it was the right one. When we proved them wrong, the service person just smiled and said, "Kitchen problem, not my problem". No sorry, no apology for the fact that we were left waiting with half the food on the table. We had to point out that they should make the naan again and not give us cold ones. In short, decent but pricey food let down even further by poor customer service.

We were pleased with the quality and presentation of Indian vegetarian dishes. We had infant with us and staff was very accommodating and understanding. We order basic food like Palak, Daal, Pulao and Naan. All dishes were cooked to perfection and sufficient attention was given and most remembered would be Nepali brass vessels, which food was served. We also order Pahari chicken for one of the guest, which I am told was also good quality and cooked well in Tandoor.

On recommendation, we decided to try this restaurant and were not disappointed. A lovely charming restaurant ( no outdoor seating ), beautiful cooked foods, poppadoms and dips yummy, bread great, made for a very lovely feast. Open kitchen lovely to watch chefs at work. Staff very friendly and chef interacts with customers for feedback on his cooking. A great place!

“Upscale” Indian food- meaning nice decor, quality service and clean, fresh and delicious. There are less expensive Indian restaurants in Lisbon, but I can’t believe the food would compete with this quality. Better than any Indian food in New York!

In about 8 months living is Lisbon, this place is near our apartment and we walked by MANY times and said we should come here some time but then just never did. One night, after a boat ride and being hungry a little late, we stopped here and there just happened to be a cancellation and 1 open table. Clearly, we were meant to eat here. And we are sooo glad we did. What a fantastic and reasonably priced meal. The service was very friendly and the chef came out a couple times to check on everyone. We can’t say enough about how great the food was. Not in the mood for two full meals, we opted for a chicken starter and a mix of meat with some rice and sauce and of course some naan. Every single flavor, from the sauce for the meats, to the seasoning on each different type of meat and the rice was excellent. For those who are not aware, Portugal (especially Lisbon) has a very long history of about 500 years with India as the Portuguese were the first westerners to arrive to India by boat. There is a significant Indian population here in Lisbon and so there are many food options as well. We’ve tried many and this was absolutely the best of them all. Our only issue is that we found this so late in our time in Lisbon and that we may not get back here again before we leave. Truly special and flavorful food. You must try it out if you are looking for something that is not traditional Portuguese food.

We came across Oven on a rainy evening and were lucky enough to get a table. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the start. The decor and atmosphere was in keeping with the nepalese meets fine dining experience. Everything we ate from the complimentary poppadoms, the mo mo's , the prawns in bacon and the table banquet were a perfect blend of flavours. The little touches such as opening the beer and pouring at the table, wiping down the table between courses and a visit from head chef Hari to enquire about our food, made the whole experience a very enjoyable evening. Would definitely recommend.

Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
