The place was full but the waiter was very nice. He showed us the today special in the kitchen and helped us to choose a fresh fish dish. The food was fresh and good.

We were looking for lunch after visiting the Monastery and this place was already busy. As we were looking at the menu, the gregarious manager made his pitch and we agreed to eat lunch there. We were in good hands from that moment on. Water, bread, and beverages soon appeared. He really wanted us to try some of the daily... More

Don't let the appearance confuse you, this cozy little place serves really delicious food for very reasonable prices. The staff is very nice and accommodating, let them help you decide from the menu :)

We went there by chance and I'm surprised about the excited critics. It is a typical fast food place. We had two servings of shellfish and one serving if swordfish. The food came very quickly, the waiters are friendly and helpful. The taste was ok although the portions of the shellfish rather small without any side dish and not enough... More

This is a cozy little spot where the food and service will amaze you. You can't beat the food for the price. If you're walking on the water front in Belem district of Lisbon you must stop and have a meal. Don't be surprised by the looks of the place. It is small and can be crowded sometimes. Try any... Cozy, crowded and busy place. You have to wait some minutes to get seated. Staff is very friendly and the food is excellent. We ended our tour of Belem here.

Great food in an excellent location (near Monasteiro di Jeronimos in Beleim Lisbon). The food you can find in here is traditional Portuguese, the waiters can speak English, French or Spanish, you will receive what you ordered very fast.

We ate here for lunch while on a tour in Belem. The menu had a great selection of Portuguese items (as well as a few more 'western' items if that is what you want) and we each selected one of the traditional ones -- a wild boar dish and a shredded cod dish. The food was very good and the... More

Trust me, this was the most delicious and affordable restaurant in Lisbon. We had 2 great grilled fresh fish and one plate of shrimps they were all so delicious. Give this restaurant a chance once you are in Belem, definitely not to miss.

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
