The grilled octopus was very nice, dessert was delicious. Maybe a bit pricey, but highly recommended.

Nice place to eat. Calm and good service. The average price, per person, with starters and bootle of wine is €30,00. In this restaurant the side dishes are not included, which is not normal for a Portuguese restaurant. Anyway it is a really nice restaurant to go and experience it. In this place I taste the best octopus I ever... More

This is stylish yet cosy restaurant, which looks recently renovated - has the feel of a lovely stone vault, with golden stone, beautifully lit. The menu is extensive and we opted for a collection of the generously portioned starters, all of which were very fine indeed. Very fine clams in parsley and garlic, chicken in Perreira sauce, fantastic prawns 'Descobre'... More

We were recommended this place by our hotel and it was very good. The "bite" sized plates were certainly far in excess of that in terms of size and very tasty. Really enjoyed the suckling pig bites which were more like sliced roasted pork belly. The mains were also good and I enjoyed the caril (curry) chicken. Knowing little about... More

Located 200 meters from the Centro Cultural Belem CCB and the Jeronimos Monastery this is an outstanding, moderately priced place to have a delicious lunch or dinner and enjoy Portuguese wines. The owner is always there and you can tell she is demanding on her staff and kitchen. You can have delicious full meals, but best is to share a... More

Quite a pleasant with the food but a bit pricey. We had suckling pig, sea bass, curry shrimp and shrimp salad with pineapple sauce. We love the sea bass the most, it was in pesto sauce with olives and garlic. It also comes with a sides, we picked grilled vegetables. The grilled vegetables was bit too dry, we found some... More

We stopped here for dinner one evening and it was wonderful! They have a very nice selection of wines. The menu is fun to look at because they have some really interesting items paired together. Especially the starters. So many choices you can't go wrong. From very delicious quail eggs with chorizo, warm cheeses and melt in your mouth seafood.... More

Stopped for lunch when looking for something off the beaten track close to the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower. This was a fantastic choice. Quiet, great food and super attentive service. Also a wine shop. We shared, succulent brochettes of pork m, grilled chorizo and the most amasing squid. Their wine choices were equally good. Sometimes the little things... More

As we live nearby we ate there already few times, both for lunch and dinner. The place is nice and cosy, the service attentive and friendly and there is a good choice of modern Portuguese dishes. Option of sharing different small plates is great when going with more people. We will be back!

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
