Cafe do Monte is the place to go whenever we feel like doing something casual - a glass of wine or beer, a coffee, a salad, a toast (the menu has a lot of special toasts - or croques - served on salad, enough for a lunch or light dinner) or salad, or sharing a Tabua - with cheeses, cuts... More

The owners and staff are very affable. Great place to sit outside in the road and drink a glass of chilled white wine or to have a nicely presented snack inside. Good choice of food. Stays open until after midnight. Closed mondays. Recommended

Stopped-in for lunch while exploring the neighborhood. Casual establishment with pleasant service and a funky vibe...including lots of kids games! Service was on the slow side but the food was great. We had a delicious board of meats and cheeses. The menu had an appealing selection of sandwiches and salads. We all really liked our food--especially the mushroom salad and... More

Check it out - it's a perfect place to chill, have some good simple cafe food and relax. Less hectic than a pasteleria with a nice French vibe

Nice place to have a glas of wine or a cup of tea, alone or with friends. Good food (salads and toasts) and nice decoration.

Stumbled upon this by accident on our way home. Served a HUGE tanqueray gin and tonic for 4€ eaten with delicious cheesecake while playing cards in this great place. Laid back, quirky, give it a go! An escape from the beaten track

This cafe is just around the corner from where we are staying, so we decided to have a relaxing meal at the end of a long day. The service was excellent, with the waiter patiently explaining each of the different items on the menu. Meals were attractively presented with lots of fresh green salad. All in all, this is very... waited 15 minutes until i could make my order, the staff dont give you the time to make your order and they sometimes forget about your order. if you are in a rush dont come here. The amount of food is not that much compared with some of the timeout referenced brunches

We only had a drink at the place, but there seems to be a good selection of food to choose too. We loved the atmosphere and the music they where playing.

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
