Not much to say that hasn't already been said about this great restaurant. It is small but very popular , so get there early to guarantee a table. It has great décor and atmosphere and the table lamps with the skewers just add to it. You don't get a lot of choice on the menu, but what you get is... More

Just popped in here late, alone for dinner. Friendly. Had the veal skewer. Perfectly cooked meat. They recommended a red wine, was very good. The almond pie was to die for.

It is a really small restaurant with only few tables, the atmosphere is good. The owner can speak perfectly french and english if you don't speak portuguese. The food was great! Mid range price. The service was perfect, and we had really good recommendation for food and wine! Thank you for this good experience.

Recommended by our hotel, this was a very good dining experience. Small, cosy and intimate, this eatery specialises mainly in grilled fish or meat skewer dishes. It is pleasantly decorated in a traditional Portuguese manner, with subdued lighting. There are only 5 or 6 tables and they are relatively close together. Clearly it is best to reserve a table however... More

My partner stumbled across this on trip advisor and so glad he did. Bit difficult to find as it is so small but is located next to Mr Wine. It is only a small restaurant so you would probably be better off booking , luckily we didn't have to and got seated straight away. On each table is this cute... More

You have to make a table reservation , the place is small The foods is good and comes in a special way - you have to see The owner is nice The only drawback is the tiny place / you sit very close !

We ate here on our first night in Lisbon and enjoyed it so much we had to go back for our last night, By far and away the best food we had in Lisbon. The restaurant is small and we were only able to get in without booking because we arrived as it opened. The decor is pretty and portugese.... More

As another reviewer said 'what a find'. Quite 'bijou' but none the worse for that. Critically you did not feel that the next door table was overhearing your conversation or vica versa.Others have explained the menu but this was far from clear how it worked. We only cottoned on when the next table explained it. The 'take it or leave... More

What a find! Wonderful little restaurant. Great food - set menu lovely starter, fab fish skewers and desert or port all for €19 per head. Add the great setting and super service, you can't go wrong. The place to eat in Lisbon.

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner here!! The owner, Sonya, was our waitress and was so friendly and accommodating, we felt right at home!! It is a very small restaurant, and the owner and one other girl gave fantastic service!! The food was fresh, elegantly displayed and was full of flavor. Their house specialty are "shish kabobs". There... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
