A good place to have lunch. They have a lunch menu for €10 that is really good value for money. The pizza and calzone we had were really good and so was the wine. The staff wasn't exactly welcoming but I can't complain. A good option right around the Cathedral.

A small restaurant in the fado district in the shadow of the cathedral, dim lights, a friendly staff and a just as friendly pricelist. The food is delivered timely and once finished eating you can just enjoy the ambiance in the restaurant without being looked outside...

I was staying in alfamma and had a craving for either a pizza or pasta so I had to hunt somewhere out as anything non-Portuguese is hard to find! I was there just after 7pm and was seconds behind the first group to be seated for the evening service. I had the burrata, zucchini (courgette), tomato and some type of... More

I can honestly say that this restaurant changed what a beef burger is for me. It was so beautifully cooked and the homemade rated potato slices were delicious and had a hint of rosemary mixed through. The foccacia is excellent and the pizzas are better than the ones I had in Italy. The scallop linguine was amazing and the prawns... More

We order pizza and salad. We appreciate how they divide the plates. The service was good and fast and the food delicious. The decoration is nice and served with lounge music. Recommended

The best pizza we ate it in Lisbon. The location is great, right next to the cathedral wall . You must try their " home-made ice tea ". Very short waiting time. The waiter proposed us to share the meniu between us - an excellent idea!

Good pizza and pastas, bit of an upscale atmosphere that seems to raise the prices. The location, just below the cathedral, is an advantage, but would not seem to justify the cost. Plenty of other great locations in Lisbon.

Thank James B

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
