Excellent shrimp, sardines and wine. A bit pricey in Portugal terms but totally worth the money. Friendly staff and amazing view of Lisbon. Recommended.

We came across this charming little place called 'Atira-te ao Rio' during our stroll along the Cacilhas/Almada riverside & can't wait to dine there the next time we're in town. Its location couldn't be more perfect - the best time to arrive is early evening during the summer months so that you can capture a breathtaking sunset & take in... More

Excellent Portuguese food, but the selling point is the location. You have a view on Lisbon, which is nice as a night skyline or seeing it from the terrace during lunch.

We took the ferry over from Lisbon and trekked along the so-called boardwalk to this destination. I actually enjoyed the graffiti, and we paused frequently to watch the fishermen catch fish and octopus. You can see many fish and man-o-war in the water along the way. Had it been a nicer day, our experience at the restaurant may not have... More

a Portuguese friend told us about this. Walk along a path next to the sea to find this beauty, away from the high street restaurants with menu's in 5 languages.... This is a gem! The sardines and linguini were to die for and the service excellent! Super fresh, on the beach and with a view on Lisbon

We read that you take the walk along the waterfront "boardwalk," but we could never had prepared ourselves for this walk. It is about 2500' along this deserted waterfront "road." It is creepy, but safe. There is no easy way to walk along the regular road. We were told it is a one-hour winding walk to or from this restaurant... More

You have to trust the directions, though it seems crazy, on a grey, windy October evening, to pick your way along an unlit, rough surfaced path, grafittied walls on one side, and iron coloured waves lapping the wharf at you feet on the other side. Perhaps you too will be serenaded by cheeky residents, wending their way home, or mistake... More

Ten minutes walk from the ferry terminal are two delightful restaurants, one painted yellow and one turquoise blue. We chose the latter which seemed slightly smaller. We could not therefore compare but were delighted to be seated right beside the water's edge on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The fish is perfectly fresh and creatively prepared. You can choose starter and... More

It is a fair to expensive restaurant with a GREAT can do attitude! The path alongside the river is almost walkable (Why is everything in Portugal so degraded?) anyhow great place, average to good food and you will RELAX!

Nice place to enjoy a glass of wine and the views from Lisbon. Is becoming a bit touristic specially in summer.
