Excellently priced (€16.5) seafood rice dish with half a Langoustine, king prawn, lots of clams, mussels in fantastic sauce! Even better than seafood paella!! Service is fair but sea view front is awesome even in the winter!

Not so bad food, the sea food was fresh. BTW: Most tourists do not know that you should not order fish in a Portuguese restaurant on Sunday or Monday: The fish is not fresh! The explanation is logical: The markets are not open on Sundays, so there is no fish to be bought, and the fishermen do not go out... More

It is supposed to be a seafood restaurant, yet the seafood dish i've ordered (Spaghetti with exotic seafood) came with frozen seafood, and basicly was not more than some overcooked spaghetti covered with nothing but the cream the frozen mussel and prawn was heated in, sparkled with some frozen parsley. Although the waiter said that it was called exotic due... More

Yes, this is a seafood restaurant (the name say it all "Garden of Seafood") but they also have other things on the menu. Me and my wife had a coupon to eat a Oporto traditional dish called "Francesinha" with two drinks so we give it a try. Ok, it's a traditional Oporto dish, but we had much better ones here... More

It's just expensive, but the food, the service, the restaurant itself doesn't justify the money. Bad one, i'm afraid. The only good thing is to eat while seeing the Tagus river.

We went to the restaurant on a sunday - and we were the also guests. Still we had to wait for the food for about 45 minutes and as the waiter apparently didn't understand English properly he brought me the wrong dish. I ate it anyway because I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes. Go somewhere else if you... More

There was not many people at the rest. When we arrived the waiters just stared at us as if it was unusual to have clients. Then they could not explain what the menu/dishes included. After eating we were left with the plates and tray on the table. Eventually I got up to pay and leave. For which I also had... More

While the food was OK (but nothing to brag about), the service was terrible. We had to wait for 15 minutes for every thing we asked, and both waiter and manager complained to us how busy they were that night and how they were not used to crowds anymore (we counted five tables occupied in a two-storey restaurant). The 'fresh'... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
