Our group of four spent most of the time looking on in envy of other diners who ordered individual meals. We ordered one of the group meals designed for 4 people. My disappointment may certainly be colored by my American taste in seafood. I wasn't...More

Service was very efficient (mostly by gentlemen of a certain age). The food was fine and there is lots of exotic seafood on offer if that's what you like. Beer choice a bit limited compared to what I expected. Reasonable price <€40 for starter, main...More

Service was excellent and attentive. The food was average and not very exciting. Slightly on the pricey side but Ambience was good.

Fabulous tiles adorn the walls of this historic building. Great food - especially good selection of fish and seafood - and good wines and beer. It's a place for locals celebrating and was busy with various parties when we visited. Lovely atmosphere and friendly waiters....More

20 years ago, I used to go to Trindade often. It breathes history, looks great, and had a friendly, slightly chaotic and bustling ambiance. The steaks were usually their greatest calling card, but they also had some seafood, all at affordable rates. Recently, I decided...More

Everything was good quality. Beef was great, very tasty; very good bear and fresh fish. But the best was the desert: the chocolate cake and baba do camelo are a must.

We had dinner there, no reservation was needed, it has a lot of seats, but they are rather squeezed. Food is decent but nothing special, beer is OK, waiters are polite and speak basic English. Prices are rather high, but still reasonable.

Quite special to eat in a former cloister. All staff was very attentive, food was good. The atmosphere and building are beautiful; a lot to see! Only minor: it was quite warm inside.

We had a trip with about 80 people in total. We booked this restaurant few weeks in advance, because it had good recommendations and it was big enough for us. Two types of three course meals, both had a soup for starter. It tasted like...More

Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally,
"squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers
plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can
stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its
streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and
viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the
famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa,

Hi Picanha P, I did not see any dogs in the restaurant. It would be my guess that smaller dogs are permitted, as is the custom in many European restaurants. Europeans do not seem to be as creeped out by dogs as Americans... More

The Trindade Beer Hall, the oldest and most beautiful beer hall in Portugal, was created in 1836, in the space which had, since the 13th century been occupied the Santissima Trindade Convent. In what used to be the monk's refectory, amongst the 19th century painted tile panels, the exceptionally good beer, and the best dishes of traditional Portuguese Cuisine and the freshest of seafood, you will discover why our costumers feel so well looked after at Trindade.
