Great experience in this well deserved 2* Michelin restaurant. The menu is incredible and really worth it. The value is great!! Not too expensive. There are no better restaurants around, our sommelier was extremely knowledgeable. Rest of the service team are not exceptional to be...honest but you come here for the food!More

My wife and myself wanted to have a good diner out after stressful days at work and opted for Alma. Readily pleased with the welcome and the simplicity of the decor. We opted for the two degustation menus and were adequately guided through wines along...with the courses. The mix, balance and harmony of flavors for all dishes took us to different places, the journey was pleasant and this feeling of of pleasure and satisfaction never left us up to the end. The pace of dishes served, the service, the exchanges with the personnel is very well coordinated, all is is in harmony. You finish your dinner and you just want to thank them all for the nice experience! Only negative point if I may is the absence of the chef, HSP.More

Another Michelin star restaurant in Lisbon, this makes it number 5 for me. Alma has two stars and rightly so. the cuisine is exquisite, the service was top notch, and the atmosphere warm and romantic. my wife and I enjoyed the night fully all the...way to the dessert. There was one thing that did bother me, I found the prices of the bar products a bit steep. The wines in my opinion were good but way to high in price. For the moment I thought I was back in NYC with French and Californian wine prices. First, the aperitif was a lesser house of white port. (Andressen) we needed a very dry white, like Taylor or Graham, the wine was sweet which my wife detests. Then there was the red wine which was expensive and never improved with airing and was never decanted. I thought that the sommelier was too young. Let me explain , I was a sommelier for over 30 years dealing with mostly French and Californian wines at high end restaurants in NYC. This restaurant has Two stars, it needs a veteran wine expert, if you are going to charge your patrons high prices. Our Touriga Nacional never improved. Please don't pull what American restaurants do and make most of their profits from the bar. Certain Portuguese wines are superb and deserve a high cost, but not some of the wines on your wine list. Yes, I am Portuguese and my father worked many years for a Douro wine firm.More

If you can’t get a Dinner reservation, go for Lunch, that’s what we did and had a great experience. We booked 2-3 months in advance.
