Amazing Portuguese pastries! These were recommended to us by our tour guide when I visited Sintra. It's a must try after visiting Pena Palace.

Piriquita has beautiful bakery goods - and a wide selection. Coffee was good, there are also beers and soft drinks. Not a place to go for a meal, but perfect for tea/coffee/snack.

We were told about the Travesseiros de sintra - a dessert made of puff pastry with a filling of almond cream, so had to pay a visit to Piriquita II. But while inside we couldn't resist the queijadas too. Beautiful cakes a plenty. Busy and popular with the tourists but definitely worth a visit, But continue up the hill passed... More

If you're looking for something different and delicious, don't try the " travesseiro". The dough don't have a nice tasty, actually I think the flavor is like a old dough. The cream inside is ok. I think people just eat because everybody eats. I can't say anything about the other menus options. Actually I think the place is just one... More

We stayed in SINTRA, just a minute walk from Piriquita 2.. We found. It on the second day and had breakfast. The coffee is amazing, as are their pastries. I loved the apple one, but they were all as good. Nice open courtyard but enclosed one side and the smoke was a little too much for us first thing in... More

There are some reviewers who seem to have got them mixed up below, when you see mention of expensive and long wait that's not... More

Traditional house of queijadas de Sintra, one of the oldest and in my opinion the best . They have all sorts of patisserie and you won't be disappointed for sure . Can be very busy at times . Must try !

There were a few tourist trap places around the centre of Sintra but I was pleased I had researched this place beforehand and it was easy to find. Really wanted to try the queijadas and travesseiros. The first were perfectly decent, the second were a revelation. I think I went to bed dreaming of them and woke up still thinking... More

I had a coffee and a pastry and paid only 2.20 eur! You cannot say the place is expensive :) I enjoyed both. And the service was friendly. Would indeed recommend.
