Having arrived in the village we needed a coffee and custard tarts. This is very modern cafe beautifully appointed with very pleasant staff who laughed at our turning our Spanish into Portuguese. As always the custard tarts are as good here as all other places....More

This place has my favorite pastries in the area - the almond pillows - yummy! Inside or outside seating is always great.

I thought I had found the best custard pastries in Belem but these where so good but also different. Although we had lunch, we had to try some of these excellent pastries and them bring an extra back home to enjoy with our tea later.

After reading all the must try this place reviews, I was excited to check out this place during our Sintra day trip. I was disappointed. I mean they were okay, but nothing spectacular. The pillow biscuit "travesseiros" is their most popular item. It looks delicious...More

Stopped in early morning with our tour guide from Road trip Lisbon. Had the pillows, were amazing! Can’t wait to return to Portugal again!

My husband and I scouted this place down on the internet beforehand to taste their famous queijadas. Maybe we just don't have the taste for queijadas, but it didn't seem like anything too exciting for us personally.

A local guide said we should try Piriquita when in Sintra as well as Pasteis de Belém in Lisbon. Pastel de Nata (egg custard tart) was good, but I liked their Pastel de Sintra better. They have a shop and cafe on R. Padarias just...More

We stopped there, to taste their famous cakes called TRAVESSEIRO but it didn’t seem to be so special and delicious. It’s in the center of the town. It has many tables. Service was ok.

Be aware that this place is closed during lunch time. We were very disappointed of that, as we only had this place on our list and had no idea of any other good place to go.
