We picked this place out of several nearby restaurants because they had a special, the steak skewer and it was excellent. We people watched from our outdoor table while enjoying our meal. The service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommend.

First time in the old town and we went around the cobbled streets at the back . The woman who was encouraging people in was very pleasant not pushy . We sat in the back by choice on the cobbled street and it was lovely....Mussels to share as a starter with lovely garlic bread. Possibly the best mussels I’ve had. The chef impressed us when he came to show my wife the meat he was going to cook for her stroganoff. Great quality decent prices and a lovely experience.More

Obviously missed a great opportunity in previous visits to Funchal. This is an excellent restaurant, good food and pleasant helpful waiters. The Girl outside was not pushy and offered a few words of advice and stood back something more restaurants could copy

We came here for lunch with our teenage children, and could honestly have eaten anything on the menu. We tried the grilled limpets (delicious) and had various main courses (all massive) followed by flambeed crepes, all wonderful with friendly and efficient service.
