It is a historical restaurant, completely rehabilitated, with the medieval walls inside the cafe, visible on the various floors. The food is good, well cooked and with a good price.

You have better for the same price in the surrounding area. Typical coffee for tourists. Central location only.

It really is as everyone describes. Terrible service, none of the staff knows what's on the menu, tasteless food. My god was this a mistake. At least it was cheap.

Probably it was my unlucky . It was an horrible service with and almost stupid staff. It was also late service. I had an cheesecake as a dessert. It was better if I did not know what is cheesecake .

The waiting staff is not very nice and they often do not have what we ask for. Also we ordered a white chocolate drink that ended up being milk with a light vanilla flavour

Given that it is located in a very touristy area, we were rather skeptical about it. But since we were really hungry and didn't want to walk around we gave it a try. To our surprise, the food was very good. They had a Brazilian menu that day and served very well prepared black beans, rice, fries and "picanha" (a... More

Description
Bringing a modern-day Braga, Café Astória is a charming concept, serving traditional Portuguese cuisine (with a few international favorites thrown in) to a loyal clientele. Tucked away under a picturesque old portico, the cozy dining room and modern deco, provides an atmospheric retreat. The team here are passionate about local and fresh products, so the menu changes daily. There are price fixed menus on offer at lunch and dinner if you're after a bargain, or just need an excuse to indulge in dessert. In the evening, a seasonal menu is available alongside the full a la Carta, which features dishes like grilled salmon with Greek salad, Bacalhão à Braga and several more regional dishes. The wine list features some excellent Portuguese wines - a real treat for novices and connoisseurs alike.
