We came across this place after wanting to try some of Porto's famous piri piri chicken. It's not quite the same as nandos in UK but it still very tastey if you like a slightly spicy flavour to your chicken. The sauce comes separate in...a bottle so you can add more or less to suit you're taste buds. Price is very fair and affordable and restaurant has good seating, I'd highly recommend a visit if you are in Porto.More
Stumbled upon this amazing little find!!! Simple, fresh and oh so good!!! Fried sardines, succulent spit roasted chicken, garden salad like grandma used to make! Friendly, great spot, very reasonable and fantastic food!!!! Thank you!!!!! We will be back! Honestly, please make this place a...'must go to' during your stay, you won't be disappointed!!!More
Really great little restaurant with good food, nice friendly staff and inexpensive..We all had half portions because we read the previous comments about the size. There was plenty to eat and we had deserts as well. Unpretentious and welcoming, would recommend.
Went to this place for take away after googling about piri piri chicken in porto and saw that it was only 300m from our hotel. Got some freshly grilled chicken & pork belly, and some rice; the pork was nothing special but the chicken was...quite juicy and flavorful. The rice was also a surprise, they seem to have cooked it in chicken broth so it tastes like singapore chicken rice, without the ginger. I ended up eating their chicken twice during my three days in Porto.More
The Chicken was really juicy and cook right , they use a rotating spit , the chips (french fires were a bit over cooked and dry ), The waiter did Change the chips and I got new tasty straight from the fryer, the Beers is...cold, the service was Ok if your not in a rush , If you Like Chicken its a good local spot and not expensive.More
In Canada we have a couple roasted chicken francises’- Swiss Chalet and St Hubert. If you enjoy these places you will love Pedro Dos Frangos.
Now, it’s not fancy but you will enjoy the best roasted chicken you will every have. It’s perfectly cooked and...usually comes with french fries and a salad…oh and a bottle of wine if you so choose.
The staff have been here forever it seems and many locals stop by. They also have many other options on the menu- including many Portuguese specialties.
So, if you’re just looking for a good home cooked meal you will enjoy this place.More
I asked a taxi driver to drop me off somewhere good where the locals eat...
I had calamari, and the salmon.
I was too full to go for the chicken, which I only found out was what you should go for after reading the reviews...on here...
Calamari was good, the salmon was stunning...
3 beers as well and all for 16 euro...
I'm coming back here tomorrow night before I go home...
Outstanding food, very friendly staff..More
