Restaurante bear house with shell fish and portuguese tradicional food. Francesinha is fantastic. Good bear and vinho verde (green wine).

Fairly large and busy restaurant with extensive menu. Benches in the left wing fairly tight and uncomfortable. Food average Portuguese and rather expensive. They do not do an all inclusive lunch menu so everything adds up quickly. Even the fizzy water is fairly pricey. Would not rush to go back there.

We went on a Saturday night in October. We didn't get there till almost 9.30 and there was a queue. They have a ticketing system and can tell you roughly how long you'll have to wait. They told us 15 mins and in fact we were taken to our table after 10 minutes. There were 4 of us. The menu... More

It looks like it is an iconic place to eat traditional oportos Francesinha. Yes - they serve a very good example of this sandwich! Quite recomended! P.S. The place is very busy - it is better to make an reservation.

We went here to try the francesinha, and it did not disappoint. It is a little bit out of the way, but if you take an Uber ride it's about 4-5 euros from the center. Glad we went.

Very nice and price wyse meals. If you don't know what you want to eat ask the counter employees what's best and they will point it out to you. Best dishes for me were Francesinha, pataniscas de polvo (octopus cakes)!

The best food we had in Portugal during our ten days, complete with Douro wines. Although the staff do not speak much English and the menu is in Portugese, they knew enough English to understand what we wanted. The service was excellent, all with a smile. And when the bill came, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount we had... More

While not central, this restaurant is a nice place to have the typical francezinha. The place is always crowded, so expect a queue for a table and at least 30 min for food. But the atmosphere is cosy and times passes by fast if you are in good company. Price per person aprox. 15€
