OMG! The sande the pernil com queijo (#8) is out of this world. The bread is just the perfect compliment to the succulent pieces of roasted pork and the slab of cheese. Eat it there or order to go, you won't go wrong. I've also tried the caldo verde. Definitely hit the spot, especially since it was a cool, rainy... More

This place is the very essence of Porto, where workers meet executives and tourists. It's amazing to see how the food here pleases everyone - and it is obvious why when you taste it! Ask for a sandes de pernil with queijo da serra! And a beer, obviously.

Every day they have a leg of slow roast porc which they chop up and fill sandwiches with - these are what the people queue for. Prices are ridiculously cheap. Go here, and try the sande de pernil com queijo (it has melted cheese... More

Went here on a recommendation and after reading TripAdvisor to be sure. What a fantastic experience! The pernil pork was delicious as was the cod. We had the vinho verde with it all. It seemed that most of the customers were local or a least Portuguese and they tucked in to the signature pernil pork sandwich on way to other... More
