We had read reviews of Cafeina and the restaurant just appealed to us. The ambiance and decor were relaxed and warm, there was plenty of room between tables, and the stiff white table linen and table settings were very appealing. They also played good jazz...at exactly the right sound level. At 7.45 we were virtually the only ones there, by 9 it was packed. I had the fish soup with puff pastry followed by the Tournedos Rossini and a mouth watering pear tart. Everything was flavourful and well cooked. The menu isn’t extensive, but there is certainly enough choice and the wines are acceptably priced. Service was great and ver well paced. And we greatly appreciated the birthday gestures.More
