Walked past 2 rickety-tabled restaurants full of 'smiling happy people' on my way to Athinaikon. I wish I'd trusted my instincts and eaten in either of them but, I had read the Trip Advisor reviews, so pressed on to Athinaikon. The space was totally devoid...More

We had a great first meal in Athens at Athinaikon Restaurant. The decor is really modern and pleasant. The service was very nice while the food was really tasty. I'd recommend this restaurant in the Syntagma area!

Near Syndagma, where so many restaurants are catering to tourists, this famous Greek restaurant was entertaining not only tourists but also a lot of Greeks (a good omen). We had an excellent meal offering traditional Greek dishes, prepared with fresh and quality products. Baby lamb...More

Whilst I am still seated in this restaurant I cannot help but write a poor review regarding the most miserable waiter I've ever witnessed. Not only for our attention but also for the customers surrounding us. A real shame as the food was very enjoyable...More

Description
Τhe new Athinaikon restaurant began to work alongside the little brother of Themistokleous in 2013. It expresses the Greek-Mediterranean cuisine at its best, has reasonable prices and is addressed to a public that looks for authentic flavors from folk and transient fashions. The Athinaikon is an idea that survives time and knows how to transform.
