This used to be one of the best-kept secrets: hidden in the most unlikely place, without a sign on the wall, it attracted everyone with a nose for good food. The founders created a cozy corner with sublime food and a vast ouzo selection. Ever since they withdrew, you can still find their delightful dishes, though the place is not... More

The food is high quality, well cooked Greek food with a Thessaloniki character. A noisy, busy neighborhood restaurant very popular both with locals and people who meet in the area. Quick service, fair prices, and good cooking.

This restaurant is a good choice for dinner. It has several choices of greek food, well cooked, ranging from traditional plates to meat and fish. It is a tavern style restaurant, although a modern one. We shared several plates all well cooked and tasty (good quality). The service was nice and friendly while the price could be a bit lower... The restaurant is located in back of a modern arcade and is quite hard to fine. The decour is pleasant but somehow the place lacks atmosphere. The food came quickly and was very good and reasonably priced.

Went there a couple of nights ago and was quite impressed by the quality of the dishes. Very nice taverna style atmosphere with very good sea food...

We were in Athens for a short time in Sept 2010. We dined at another restaurant that scores highly with trip advisor reviewers and found it excellent....... but the food at To Ouzadiko was slightly better ,and the fish and grilled octopus could be the best we have ever had.Add to this a charming and informative host, and modest prices,... We found Ouzadiko by accident looking for a late lunch one Saturday afternoon in Kolonaki. Tired and hungry after shopping all morning, we didn't see it at first as it is set back in an office block, but if you have eaten out in Sydney you'll be used to this. We were welcomed immediately and had a very nice table... More

Staying in Kolonaki / Lykavittos

Neighbourhood Profile
Kolonaki / Lykavittos
By far the ritziest neighbourhood in town, Kolonaki is home to most of the chic boutiques and designer label stores. Here, the wealthy say no to austerity by dressing in their finest and spending hours in the trendy cafés around Kolonaki Square, sipping the most expensive coffee in Europe. The area also contains a couple of notable museums and cultural institutions, which add to the air of nobility. The leafy upper reaches of Kolonaki transition into Lykavittos Hill, the highest point in central Athens. Climb the paths through its wooded slopes to the tiny chapel at the top, from where you are rewarded with stunning views across the Acropolis to the sea and even the mountains of the Peloponnese on a clear day. The wooden amphitheater up here hosts regular concerts during the summer.
