Very simple place with special atmosphere. Without a great selection only 4-5 dishes but each is great. Very authentic.

Diporto means 2 doors, and actually there are 2 doors entering this lovely little taverna , in the center of Athens, full of wine barrels with "retsina" wine. 3 to 4 dishes, all fresh and delissious. You may have to wait for a table, or...More

Went there cus our tour guide suggested this place. It was really nice. Three dishes: soup salad and fish. Really nice. The place look old and cheap but the food is really good , so don't let the apparence put you off.

Great little place in a cellar with about five dishes to choose from every day. Wine direct from the barrel and very pure dishes. Chickpea soup, vegetable soup, grilled fish, salad. Perfect. Payment in cash only.

Like so many hidden treasures, there's no sign to let you know you're in the right place. You take the staircase down and suddenly in you're in a kitchen/dining room that could be from the 1920's. Light spills in from the two entrances above onto...More

We tried to go here the night we arrived in Athens but it closes at 6pm so we were out of luck. The next day we made a point to arrive earlier and were rewarded. No menu. No choice. They seat you bring a 1/2,liter...More

Omonia Square is as plain in appearance as Syntagma is
grand. Surrounded largely by functional blocks from
the 1950s and 60s and no longer boasting its
underground stalls, the square is now mostly
frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The
most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set
off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually
coming into focus in the distance, and you will get a

Dear Stephen I have no idea. If is closed that's a bad news for an amazing traditional and family style restaurant.
