We were up for some sea food and decided to try the special offers. They were very well presented and tasty. The staff was super friendly and made us feel more than welcomed.

The seafood dishes were amazing, with a great and fun armosphere. The staff were very nice, even gave us dessert & ouzo to try as compliments :)

It's ok. The restaurant has good atmosphere. Service is not so fast and kind. Foods are ok. As like I said, it's ok not more.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. We enjoyed a mixed green salad off the specials menu that had the best toasted goat cheese we've ever eaten. We also enjoyed a delicious gyro recommended by our waiter. The pork rolls off the specials menu was okay, but not terrible. We also received a complimentary yogurt drizzled with honey for dessert. We were... More

Near the end of a long line of tourist - focused restaurants along the side of the Acropolis Museum is God's Restaurant, and it is well worth dodging the aggressive sidewalk "greeters" to get there! Pull up a chair in the afternoon sunshine, have a cool glass of fresh white wine, and enjoy some delicious fare while chatting with the... More

I ordered a God's salad and on the menu was written chicken on the ingredients list. Instead I received a salad with cheese and it had way to much oil. Was hard to eat and heavy. But the bottled wine was good :))

After reading a positif review in an english newspaper, I decided to try out this restaurant. The man on the street attracting tourists said the giouvetsi is served in traditional way and that they prepare it also with seafood. The waiter however knew nothing about this all and said giouvetsi is made with beef as indicated on the menu (9... More

Staying in Thissio / Makriyanni

Neighbourhood Profile
Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianised Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centrepiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.
