Very Good food, typical Greek kitchen, smiley staff, good service. I would come back again. Very unformal atmosphere and nice view.

Excellent baked mushroom dish. The eggplant, tomato, cheese serving was similar to the Cretan darkos with the toast replaced with eggplant. And the mousakka was excellent. Recommended.

Looking for a place to eat in the Plaka with live music - we found reviews for this place. It was as described - a fun place to eat with a live band playing Greek favorites. there was dancing, wine, good food and a great atmoshphere - overall a great way to spend an evening in Athens!. And yes... the... More

Had a wonderful lunch. Carbonara was the best I've ever had. Including Italy. House wine was wonderful. Roof top eating on a beautiful sunny day in February. Will eat here again 😀👍🏻

Great place! If you can't climb up all the steps get a taxi to drop you at the side of the restaurant. Good food, good, not too loud Greek music, both old and new. We enjoyed it very much and the food was good too. Fish was lovely. The price quoted on the menu is per kilo so on average... More

A quaint place up some steps . We ate here the 1st evening we arrived ( in a snow storm!) and it sure got us in the mood to enjoy Athens and all things Greek. It was not crowded (January) and we ate indoors. The menu had a good choice of Greek dishes and our waiter was helpful. The interior... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
