It's the kind of place you might walk past without a second glance, but you should stop and have a look at the board outside! Then you'll be taken to see the days dishes and be told what they have on the grill such as...More

It was so good, we went back two days in a row. Not sure I've ever had a better pork chop or lamb chop in my LIFE. Very easy to find as it's very close to the Acropolis Museum. Staff was very friendly, feels very...More

Extremely friendly owner! You can immediately see the dishes and get the whole explanation of all ingredients. Very fresh, traditional and tasty!

Very casual - they have the day's offerings behind the counter, just see what's there and tell them what you want. Tastes like home cooking - nothing over the top, over-salted, or whatever other tricks restaurants pull, just good basic stuff.

Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient
temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small
wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer
numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely
pedestrianised Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between
the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth
climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges
with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the
