This is one of the coolest places I've seen. I've never seen baristas having such a good time working. Excellent selection of coffees and teas and great for people watching. The coffee is wonderful, the crowd very hip. Everyone relaxing and having a great time.

Went here to buy some bags of coffee beans as a souvenir (10€ for 250 grams - smells amazing so we got 2 bags) and we were so impressed that we had to come back! Had some high quality coffee, as well as some sandwiches for lunch. (Let's just say that my partner ordered a second latté because the first... More

Large cafe with bustling atmosphere and trendy ambience. The coffee is excellent and the staff helpful and more than happy to answer questions. It attracts a large local crowd, which can make for a somewhat noisy environment.

We were looking for a specialty coffee place but were not expecting such a blast!! Very, very good coffees, of all kinds. Have tried not less than 50 specialty coffee places across eight European countries over the past couple of months, and Tailor Made was without a double the best! Great atmosphere, great attention to details, amazing hospitality and customer... More

This is a great little coffee place in Monastiraki in St. Irene Square that offers coffee and I believe there is also a bar inside. We came for a coffee after dinner. It is a popular hang out for younger folks, many of them LGBT. Many come in heater couples so it may be hard for the untrained eye to... More

I've been here every day I was in Athens and really enjoyed it. Great pour over and espresso. I had some difficulty communicating with the staff in English for details about the coffee and such but no issues ordering.

We visited Tailor Made in our attempt to explore the "great coffee shops" of Athens. It did not disappoint, contrary we tasted perfectly brewed espressos. The revelation of our tasting experience was their cold brew. Honestly, the best cold coffee I have ever got. Worth mentioning the kind and knowledgeable staff.

This is an amazing place for coffee and to kick back. Not for retentive people but for relaxed youngsters and young at heart. It is how the new Athens should be with s vibrant young heart with a positive beat.

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
