I love the roof garden bar! Very cheap, amazing view, nice food options, great events, and lovely to meet travellers, as this place is frequented more by foreigners and tourists than locals (which is one of the reasons I love it). I don't think you can find many places like this in Athens. It's not posh and if you're looking... More

If you stay in the hostel, or not, take some time to visit this place. The view at sunset or at night is absolutely amazing, and drinks are cheap. The bar is now fully covered so even in winter it's worth to spend some time there. And since it's in the middle of plaka it's very easy to go party... More

Nice view over Athens. Not many seats due to limited space. Had a beer and enjoyed the views, and quickly left.

Place itself is nothing exceptional but it is still nice to sit down there and view the panoramic old city of Athens;

Amazing view of all of Athens. It's pretty small, but it's very cozy and everyone is super friendly! I would definitely check this place out!

Day or Night this restaurant is all about the view. There is nothing fancy but its good to spend a lovely evening to boast around that you were dining on rooftop restaurant with Acropolis at the background view.

I generally liked the place. Pretty good food, a bit high prices, really lovely view at the old city and Acropolis.

If want to have a drink in front of the Acropolis : Great ! But for food not typical at all : industrial frozen pizza for 5€ or a moussaka for 10€, that's all. Students ok, not for family !

I am happy hear you enjoyed our views! You can ahoy our full menus during Summer time (May-Sept) when we serve a variety of freshly made dishes. During the winter we mainly serve drinks, bar food (snacks, toasts, salads & pizzas) and a dish of the day (that was Mousaka during your visit). Our rooftop is fully covered and heated... More

Had dinner here on our first night, arrived in Plaka late around 9.30pm and wanted to soak up the first of our rooftop views on the Acropolis. This place did not fail! In no way fancy, a basic but trendy elevated position to eat or drink - we opted for the 10e meal deal, he had Moussaka/salad/bread and l had... More

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
