We went here on a recommendation of a local & were not disappointed. Great Turkish flavors-- they finish your meal with complimentary ouzo & a HUGE plate of fresh fruit, which was yummy & a special touch. We loved the location-- you can sit outdoors on a cobble street. It was cozy, romantic & the people-watching is fun.

We had dinner at this tavern following the recommendation of Chania locals. The cuisine was creative, the food tasty and the service very friendly, quick and efficient, despite the full occupation of the tables while we were there. The owner and his wife, originally from Georgia on the Black Sea, brought along a number of their country's specialties and enriched... More

A very enjoyable experience. It's a great setting on a quiet square and all seems effortlessly romantic - the ambience, the setting, the tables, the lighting, the trees and the resident cats even and the building itself. We had a mix of meze dishes and all were very nice indeed, the staff friendly and helpful and the price very reasonable.... More

This place is very charming. It is all tables outside seated under fairy lights and is very intimate with a great vibe. I had the vegetarian moussaka and it was one of the nicest meals I had eaten in Crete. I came here after reading a recommendation on a blog and it did not disappoint. A very charming, intimate setting... More

I love the blue and white table setup at this restaurant the most. I had the prawns and rice saffron. It wasn't bad but the prawns were frozen (not fresh) and the waiter told me the dish was spicy...it was not. We also had to beg for the bill. May try this place one more time.l but then that's it... The food was excellent and the setting is beautiful. the tables are slightly small for 5 people, but that is to be expected in many Greek restaurants. There is a wide selection on offer which is lovely

Beautifully located in an courtyard area under stone walls illuminated by candles and flowers overhanging. Had spectacular vegetarian moussaka starter which even my (carniverous) husband drooled over. Food excellent with Turkish/Middle Eastern twists. Service courteous. Family run restaurant. One of my favourite restaurants in Crete

We visited this restaurant two nights in a row as we were so impressed the first night. It's a little hard to find the first time you go, but this also means it is a bit quieter than some of the other restaurants that are in the hustle and bustle of the old venetian town. The restaurant serves dishes from... More

The cuisine is Turkish and Moroccan. The decoration is great and stylish and offers information about the story of Turks in Crete. Most importantly the food is awesome. The personnel is very helpful, in guiding you with the selection of your food. Make sure you do not overeat. Hint: the restaurant offers half-portions so that you can sample more dishes.

Day visit to Chania we wanted to include an evening meal. The reviews were good and as we both love Turkish food it seemed an obvious choice. It is located in the once occupied Turkish area of Splantzia. It was warm enough to sit outside so we opted for the little garden area which was lit by loads of candles.... More
