To Stachi is a small, family-run vegetarian restaurant on the east side of the Chania old town directly across from the Sabbionara Tower/Gate of Sand and a bit away from the main tourist areas. The proprietor and chef (Stelios) is a vegetarian himself and he cooks from the heart. His children also work at the restaurant. I was lucky enough... More

We aren't vegetarians but we absolutely loved the food, which was rich in flavours, filling and so delicious. The owner goes through all the menu with you, which is helpful and cute. A must in Chania!

My husband (who isn't vegetarian) and I visited this place for a late dinner. Unspectacular from the outside and a little beside the main tourist mile, we only found this place because we had read about it. It proofed to be a good choice: the food was extremely delicious and there was a wide choice of local, seasonal and organic... More

Low key, friendly and very reasonable vegetarian/vegan restaurant. The stuffed courgette flowers and stuffed peppers were excellent, not so sure about the much vaunted hummus (tho we did finish it!) Personally I found the food, as served, a little bland but a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of salt perked it up nicely. Speaking of which, I'm sure there... More

We visit Chania quite often and this is always a restaurant we visit with relish. The food is great, the service by mainly family members is excellent and the wisdom of owner Stelios is enthralling.

If you want to dine in a more informal setting, this is your place! Very friendly people who really give their honest opinion about the food. The meals didn't look big, but they were very filling! Afterwards the cook made his round through the restaurant to see if everybody liked his food! I'd certainly go again and recommend this place... More

Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Chania. The owner explains each dish they have that day and gives some of the dishes as veg or vegan option. Haven eaten here a few times he always included a lunch for our young son (baby) free of charge which was nice. Some of the dishes can be sold out but... More

An amazing experience of flavors, and no less amazing experience of the service provided by the talented chef, Stalios. His love for cooking is evident in every bite, a delightful experience and certainly the most delicious place in Crete. You can really feel the love for cooking and people in his food.

Great pepople who serve great food with love. The waiter who is also the daugther of the owner is so nice and calm, takes the time to explain every dish on the menu with patience. A good place to eat even if you are not veg.

We stayed in Chania one week. After discovering this place we had three lunches and two dinners here. They prepare every dish either vegetarian or vegan at your choice. The chef (Stelios) offers details on each dish. After meal, every customer receive a complimentary sweet (excellent vegan cookies made with carrob) and fruit.
