The fact that you can tie in the farm 'experience' with a meal makes it a 2 for the price of 1 visit. the talk on the old ways of making olive oil, raki, wine and bread were interesting and the meal was a nice...More

Walked here from our villa and had lunch in the peaceful grounds. Very friendly service and the dish of the day was superb. Quite pricey for a lunchtime but worth it for a once in a while visit.

The food is outstanding as are the staff and owners. Highly recommended as a family destination, day trip, cooking class destination or a hands on farm-museum of the way things were (and should still be!). Here is a link to the video on where we...More

We visited this farm two Sunday's ago. We had our own private tour after a hiccup, which the manager Nikko promptly rectified. Our tour guide, whom I feel bad about forgetting his name, was wonderful, kind and patient. The farm is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful,...More

Hi everyone! What is the best way to make a dinner reservation at the farm? I have been calling both numbers listed on their website since Saturday, and nobody has answered the phone. I think I left 2-3 voice messages, but I'm not certain it was the answering machine because I don't speak Greek. I also sent an email to info@agreco.gr and filled out the contact form on their website twice. Please help! I am only in Rethymno for 2 more nights and we really want to dine at Agreco Farm! Thank you, Aislinn

Delving deep into Cretan tradition, Agreco, a fairytale traditional farm, has revived centuries-old organic farming practices in a unique expression of Greek 'philoxenia', or hospitality. This privately owned 40,000-sq estate is an innovative display of environmentally friendly methods for traditional and modern cultivation and breeding.

On a hill near Rethymnon with vine yards and olive trees overlooking the infinite sea, don't miss a culinary experience, tasting diverse seasonal dishes based on the fruits of the land and the legendary nutritional Cretan cuisine.

In the Agreco Taverna you will taste the very best of traditional Cretan cuisine. Only fresh, organic farm produce is used in the menu and the preparation is done entirely in the farm kitchens.
