So, so good! Best lunch time during our vacation in Crete. We tried local greek salads, fish and other. Their second boss named Mika (a cat) is something every fish restaurant needs.

Situated in a pleasant spot with a good view of the fort. We were welcomed by the proprietor. There is a huge menu, some items fresh and some frozen. Everything we had was very good. Complimentary ice cream rounded off a an enjoyable meal. Well worth a visit

Zampia's is an traditional Cretan taverna by the sea on the Chania side of Rethymno. It's much frequented by the local people, which just goes to show its quality, as well as its reasonable prices. All dishes are freshly cooked from local produce, tasty and delicious! If you go up to the pass, the owner Andreas or one of his... More

Decided to dine here on a friends recommendation. Glad we did. We ordered only fish dishes and i can honestly say it was delicious and so fresh you can taste and smell the sea.... The setting is amazing overlooking the sea on one side and the having a little church on the other just made the whole experience as authenticated... More

This is a traditional Taverna ,located by a church, behind a fruit and veg shop , near the bus station, with a sea view. He has quite a menu , the food is good quality and is normally packed with locals and tourists. The one annoying thing is ,that the menu shows loads of things on it . But every... More

An extensive menu of authentic traditional dishes and a lovely setting by the sea, gave us the perfect evening. We had lamb chops. meatballs in tomato sauce, courgette fritters, house wine and salad. As this restaurant is not in the centre and on the quieter side of town, it is less busy than it could be. Having said that, it... More

From Bifteki to dolmades to xoriatiki all home prepared, all extremely well presented and cooked but more importantly, delicious. Actually, if you holidaying on shoe string, then you would not baulk at the cost. Excellent value for money. The bread is locally baked too and you will not get enough of it. Brilliant for mopping up the sauces. The only... More

We were guests of Rethymnon friends who favored this restaurant over most others. The first five seafood appetizers made their choice of this place our favorite. The weather, the view of the sea, the kindness of the waiting staff-----unforgettable!!

Opposite the bus station, and by a beautiful church. We called in one lunchtime and, after looking at the menu, we were led across to the dishes available. One of them was an attractive looking bean salad, which I ordered. It's not the sort of thing I'd order from a menu, but it turned out to be delicious. This, together... More
