During our 11 days stay in Kos, we tried out most of the restaurants at the seaside in Kos town: Agkyra, Yorgo and also Barbouni. Agkyra was by far the best (see seperate review), while we were quite disappointed by Barbouni: quality of the food was less good than Agkyra, but we also did not feel very welcome and had... More

One of best meze and sea food I ever tasted in Egean Cost. Service is wonderful, staff is very nice, the price for the diner was quite reasonable. Thanks to the restaurant.

I heard so much about it so decided to visit with my husband. Actually restaurant is amazing. near sea side very nice decoration. We ordered octopus, scallop, calamari, cheese with melon, aubergine mousse. calamari and scallop was a disappointment. Aubergine mousse was nice, cheese with melon was perfect ( it is always a perfect match with Barbayanni ) octopus was... More

On the plus side: - food is far more elaborate and subtle than average, esp. the cold starters like tsasiki, fava and taramas - the seating by the sea is superb (book ahead to get it) - staff was friendly On the negative side: - they did not manage to have the wine opened at the table when the fish... To have both good food and a beautiful location makes Barbouni the first choice for Kos dining. As you look out to sea, with a local Kos wine in your hand, a plate of tiger prawns and your beautiful wife, there isn't much more that you can ask for. Book it now!

We really enjoyed the evening there. Located at the sea and the seafood was amazing. And if you want to try something diffrent than Ouzo, try Mastika.

Wonderful food. Right next to the sea. Everything that we ate was delicious! There is a slight breeze, even in very hot weather.
