Always stop here when we travel through Thessaloniki - very reliable and right in the heart of the old Jewish Quarter where there are lots of trendier places and if that's your thing, then something else might catch your eye. If you want fish and...More
These are the best fish and chips I've had anywhere either in UK or anywhere else. Big portions, cheap price, served with garlic sauce and a hot chilli pepper on the side (optional) and all served on greaseproof paper. Friendly service as well and great...More
"Mpakaliarakia tou Aristou" is one of the oldest - maybe the oldest - fish 'n' chips restaurant in Thessaloniki. The fried cod with garlic sauce (skordalia) is really good, but have in mind that cods in Greece are really salty compering to UK and Ireland....More
A local Greek friend suggested to go here for lunch. The food is very nice especially the fried cod with garlic sauce, they also have very spicy green peppers. The portions are huge, prices are low. The staff is super friendly. Ideal location for an...More
if you want a fair deal without surprise, go here: waitresses are cool, food is plenty, fish&chip is 7€, sauce along (forgot the name) is delicious, very unlikely to finish it so full the plate is, the terrace on a walking street is lively &...More
I have always the same dish "mpakaliarakia with chips and a green chilly pepper". The simpler the better-the food is very nice and the atmosphere close to the port and Ladadika very old Thessaloniki's style. The prices are reasonable and the quality guaranteed.
Don't even pass by if you are interested in a restaurant. If you want a different type of fast food then it is your place. If you are visiting during spring or summer (without south wind) then you will enjoy the atmosphere of Thessaloniki harbor.
We ate at this traditional taverna in the port of Thessaloniki . The food was served in big portions and was very tasty, especially the fried cod with garlic sauce . The staff was very friendly and kind. I would highly recommended this restaurant.
