This year Gianni's had additional seating on the beach. We ate both in the main restaurant (overlooking the beach with open front) and on the beach. The owners and staff are very nice and friendly. The food is simple but great, offering choices from a traditional Greek taverna menu. I had the fresh grilled fish each time. Gianni's is family-ran... More

We managed to get a table right at the front of the beach just before the sun finally dropped. Even though it was cloudy, the colours were simply amazing in the sky. Beautiful to watch and one of the best beach restaurant experiences I can remember. Also, very romantic. The food was great. I've not had a bad meal in... More

This taverna was suggested to me by a friend who is also a local of Skopelos and after eating there at least 5 or 6 times during my last stay on the island, I can honestly say it's one of the best Greek tavernas I've ever eaten at. From the salads, to the fresh fish, to the moussaka, to the... More

We ate here several times in June. We were made welcome and the menu is unusually broad for a local tavern, reflecting its bias to traditional cooking. The food is very good indeed, and the service is friendly, especially if you take the trouble to talk to the family, who speak good English. The view out over Panormos bay is... More

We had dinner at Gianni's during our stay in Panormos. It has a relaxed, family atmosphere and some of our courses were served by one of the children. It sounded like the chef was singing very loudly in the kitchen, and many of the local people eating dinner seemed to know each other. This made for a relaxed atmosphere, like... More

One if the best taverna experiences in Skopelos. This taverna is family run- as we were leaving mum and sons were sat round a table pealing string beans. Great view as well as it's across the road from the sea side. Excellent local fish: sardines, fried octopus and calamari were great. So too were the tsaziki and egg plant.... A... More

Gianni's restaurant is located in Panormos, the most beautiful beach of Skopelos island, and was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel where we stayed. We have to simply admit that this was an awesome suggestion! Food in the menu is what greek mothers and grandmothers cook or used to cook: it is authentic, tasty and delicious! The... More

The food here was excellent. So good we ate here 3 times in our 14 day holiday - rare for us. Lamb off the bone was great and the meals were excellent value - about 30 Euros for 2 people for 2 courses and 1/2 litre of rose wine. The service was friendly and efficient and we ended our meal... More

We were on Honeymoon and were here to enjoy the food drink and relax. We did decide that we would take notes on the places we ate so we could write reviews when we got back. So gave scores out of five for each element. We used the price of a 500ml bottle of Amstel as our benchmark for comparison... More
