The food was excellent, and so were the wines. I wish, though, that the set dinner had included an alternative to lobster. Staff were very friendly, and I liked the interior.

We really wanted to saviour a real danish lunch, so we decided on the buffet,we were not disappointed.the choice was really good with an array of different sauces and marinades. There were a couple of dishes I wouldn't feed to a starving cat but I'm sure the locals love it,it was a peculiar purple/blue weird salty herring dish but the... More

It was freezing outside and we needed a reprieve from the weather. We shared a cold plate of fish, chicken and meat with plenty of bread for two. The place is typically Danish and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the Danish apple cake which is layered stewed apple with crumbled ameretto biscuits topped with cream. Lovely dessert... More

Went here for a danish meal. Missed out on the herring buffet which looked good. But had herring 5 ways for starter which was amazing. Mains were steak (nothing special) and grilled salmon (nothing special). Both cooked ok. Served with some veg which was tasty. Too much sauce though. Go for the herring

Wide variety of yummy herring buffet to fill you up in this expensive city. Go for lunch and you'll be surprised at how affordable it can be. It's really great value considering it's not only in Copenhagen but on Nyhavn! We had such a great lunch here, enjoying food and people watching with a beer or two. It was winter... More

If you want some Danish food in period surroundings, then you'll not go wrong at Nyhavns Faergekro, herrings, shrimps, salmon, chicken, meatballs and great onion soup. Service is good too.

Ate here our 1st night. Had 5 tastes of herring and the smorgasbord, plus aquavit. They have dozens of local aquavits! Food and booze was delicious. Great start to our holiday.

Stopped in for a quick bite. Tasty Smørrebrød, we had the roast beef and fish cake options - unfortunately out of the meatballs.

Why is it so often, that when you come back it is not the same as the last time? Ok, so a lot was the same. The herring buffet was just like the last time, so were the frikadeller. But the service had dropped quite a bit. The young waiters seemed more or less uninterested in the guests, and that... More

Took my daughter for dinner on a weekend city break. The restaurant is in one of Copenhagen's more touristy bits, so I would normally avoid, but someone had recommended this one. The rooms are lovely and service was attentive. Dinner was very good. We shared "Herring 5 Ways", which is as the name suggests (herring with five different marinades ranging... More
