If you're in Copenhagen and like Italian food, you must pay a visit to Mother. I had a terrific lunch here - a butternut squash and brie panini - but their dinner menu looks even better. Also very reasonably priced, particularly in comparison to other restaurants in Copenhagen, and the service was warm and friendly. Just a lovely place to... More

And beer. Place was lovely and pizzas were great. Only minus was the heat of the place. Got a bit sweaty. But no other complains. Can recommend the place!

Good atmosphere, great playlist, horrible promises. Was told to wait 10 min, after 45 min I decided to order my pizza in the waiting/bar area. Do not make promises if you cannot deliver!

We booked in for brunch here before we came to Copenhagen. Definitely recommend the brunch at Mother! Unlimited pizza, pasta, salads, bread, cheese, meats, yogurts, fruit, and water and juice. My mouth is actually drooling thinking about it again! Really, really good value for money and excellent food. The only gripe i have is that they only put out about... More

Went purely on TA reviews and we weren't disappointed. Arrived at about 1915 on a Saturday night and had to wait about an hour. Had a drink in the small yet atmospheric bar area. Staff were very friendly, helpful and like all Danes, spoke impeccable English. Pizzas were great and served really quickly once we got a table. If you... More

The meat packing district in Copenhagen is definitely one of the most lively! Service was good and food was tasty :) it was a bit pricey but I guess that's just Copenhagen!

Recently arrived in Copenhagan, and had read positive reviews of Mother, and as it was mentioned as a more budget eating option, thought we'd give it a try. Very good sourdough crust pizza, really well cooked, good quality salami. House white wine very fresh tasting, think it was organic too. 9.30ish on a midweek night and not that busy. Service... Stumbled upon Mother in our first few hours in Copenhagen and it was the perfect spot to kick off the weekend. After walking around the Meat Packing District it was clear which restaurant had the strongest following. With lots of seating available inside and out, Mother was the ideal place to soak in the Denmark sun. With a great selection... More

We visited Mother on a very snowy Thursday night. The place was packed so we waited in the bar for about 20 minutes which wasn't a problem! The restaurant is really cool! A very 'hip' young crowd, really reminded us of Shoreditch in London. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The pizzas were amazing, good selection! A great Italian... More

When we got here the place was packed. Usually that is a good sign and it was this time. We did not make a reservation so we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table to come free. But we could wait in the bar which was nice. We had buffalo Mozarella upfront which was very good, pizza as... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
