A long way from Portugal, the service is great, the ingredients not so much, adapting to what can be got locally is great but the flavours suffer so the food just lacks 'something', for instance tomatoes just don't have enough sun in them. Perhaps it...More

We came from Sweden to have dinner at Portugalo - there is no Portuguese restaurant in Sweden and, having lived in Portugal, I am very happy we found Portugalo! The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. The food is authentic and the...More

I am Portuguese and came to this restaurant once with a group of international people including other portuguese people. I believe this is the only Portuguese restaurant in Copenhagen and it is a good place to sample some of what Portugal has to offer gastronomically...More

As part of sharing tips for the next tour to Portugal we and our friends met at Portugalo to try out their menu. We all had a fixed menu with soup of cale with chorizo, nothing special, though more "moms cooking". The main was shank...More

Very good service, the dishes is of good quality in generous portions. Very good value of money with menu for 2 at 52% off. Music is lovely, too. Would be nicer if the windows decoration/advertisement is more artistic.

We visited Portugalo on a calm Tuesday evening in January. We were kindly greeted and there was a warm feeling as soon as we entered the door. The menu did not have a ton of options, but quite adequate and I believe most people will...More

Mistakingly ordered the house wine on the waitresses suggestion. She brought a liter to the table and poured two, big glasses immediately. Then I tasted it and it was oxidized. Normally would have sent it back, but softie that I am, I told her to...More

We had an early dinner here on arrival in Copenhagen. My wife and I shared a plate of petiscos (~tapas). Good variety and delicious sausage. We wandered in because we were hungry and it was raining; a happy accident, and we would go back.

consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
