About
Our homemade food is inspired and prepared by mothers, who are the core and heart of the family. Around fragrant, well-seasoned dishes that have been cooking for many hours with lots of love, they gather their family and friends. The more, the merrier – there is always room for one more. It is this tradition of food and culture that we celebrate at BollyFood. Our talented and experienced bartenders offer unique and creative cocktails, inspired by classic favourites and with an Indian twist. All the while focusing on sustainability and originality, which is why a large part of our ingredients are homemade and environmentally friendly.

Visited Bollyfood with my wife on a Friday evening. Something went wrong with the order, and we only got our naan and mint dip with lassis, the order for the rest of the food somehow got lost -:(
After some time the small mishap was noticed, and two waiters as well as the manager were very excusing. We were offered complimentary food and drinks, and when we left the manager refused to receive any payment for any of the food and drinks that was served.
We left the place with a very good feeling - will definitely come back :-)

We ended up here, as the restaurant we were we were going could not fit us in.
The three of us were shoehorned in and we each ordered different dishes.
The food was ok, very simple in spicing, but quite enjoyable.
We finished the meal and asked for the bill and could we have a taxi. We got the bill £150.00!, that was 3 starters, 3 main meals and 3 bottles of beer. However no taxi, “we don’t do that”.
So unless you want to be heavily overcharged for what you get, don’t bother, there are many other options.

The chicken tikka was good, The tamarind chutney and the Raita should have been included in the price. The nan bread was not freshly made, and tasted like fabric made nan bread for households, and not like the freshly made nan bread in India and other places. My conclusion that this was not a value for the money meal, because you expect more quality for that kind of money.

Overpriced Indian food with worst quality I ever had. Usually I don’t even make reviews, but it was so bad I wanted to share so people don’t waste money. I ordered take away and picked it up at the restaurant. First, waited way too long and staff looked just chaotic. Prices are pretty high, but as I wanted some indian food, I just thought I will try it. And it was disappointing. Chicken was burned, unbearable to eat, sauce was too fatty and it was giving me the feeling it stayed in a pot for a while. At least rice was good. So I paid almost 200 kr for good cup of rice. Terrible. Not recommended. Never coming back! P.S. in the picture is butter chicken(or at least that’s what I ordered).

We ordered two main-dishes, one vegetarian and one chicken, two glasses and a naan bread. The bill said: 600 Danish crowns!!
The dishes were small, semi warm and taste-wise very average.
The staff was pleasant but I will NEVER eat here again.

Actually have been here many times. First time was maybe two years ago? But when I first started the prices were definitely reasonable and it really felt like a “find.” However I can see prices have gone up and even though I love their food, might explore a new place. But everything else about place is great!

In the meat packing district of Copenhagen this small restaurant is a gem for lovers of authentic Indian food. If you’re staying in the area it’s a great place for an evening meal. Coming from Manchester Indian food is a regular choice so finding a good Indian when travelling abroad isn’t always easy. But we all enjoyed the food and busy bustling atmosphere. Probably worth booking if you’re going at a busy time. Enjoy

Got the seat from the bar as I was alone, food was okay and my choice tasty, good quality meat. Naan bread was not really authentic, and quite bland.. Not bad, and area is unique with many bars and other restaurants.

Nanbread was though, and dident feel very fresh. Butterchicken dident taste much and the chicken was though. A total midiocre experience. I had Indian food regurarely in last 20 years, this was clearly a dissapointment on the low end of the scale. The hipe of the food upon arrival with speicific information about not taking our order for another 20 minutes to avoid dissapointment was a total paradox.

I ordered take away butter chicken and have no words to describe how bad that taste. It was really soupy and the chicken tasted like it was boiled. What happened with your food? I know the food was good at this place but this time makes me puke only when I looked at it. You should not be allowed to be on the market with this type of food. Do not order from this place !!!!!!

A really nice restaurant with good service. But the food was far too strong for us. You could barely taste anything but acid and strength from the chilli. Panak paneer with goat cheese - unusual but not worth recommending.

Beautiful food, fab cocktails and great service. We had our night saved from the jaws of despair after spending 5 minutes in the worst restaurant in kødbyen (lolly Thai)
These guys were fantastic and we had a great meal with loads to choose from.
Will visit again!

If you are looking for a curry then try Bollyfood. It’s very small and in the cool and lively meatpacking district. Menu is small but that’s fine. Atmosphere is great, really lively on a Sat night. Food was ok, not brilliant, a little oily. Drinks were good, value ok overall.

Food was delicious. Portions were generous. Limited choice on menu but all dishes were fabulous. Presentation of food was outstanding. Really recommend the finger food for 2 starter selection. For a family of 4 it was expensive but lovely for a treat.

We waited 40min for the drinks, 90min for the food.
After we finished our drinks we never were asked for another round, just sat there for another 50min. The service was below all acceptable. Will not come back.

Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
