Great meal for slightly high price ($185 average entre). Slightly concerned going inside, but once upstairs in the restaurant, it was a nice place with candles on each table. The lamb was some of the best lamb I've ever had. My wife enjoyed her fish meal. Glad we made the visit.

Entering Spiseloppen you think you're at the wrong place. The stairway is darkish, full of graffiti and with a lingering smell of marijuana. But keep going and you'll come to a great restaurant with very good food.

Located at the nice Christiania, Spiseloppen is famous throughout Denmark for it´s very well prepared dishes, I had the vegetarian dish, and the pana cotta for desert, and my friend had the chicken breast with tomatoes, and the chocolatte cake for desert. Both of the dishes were excellent! The staff there are very friendly and helpful, and there is a... More

It is based in an old military building on the top floor. We had a really hard time finding it but finally a really nice local guy actually went out of his way to take us there. To access the restaurant you have to go up some quite dark stairs which doesn't prepare you for the lovely ambient on your... More

Fine quality of food and service in the very special setting of an old military warehouse in Christiania, the "free town" and famous and still ongoing Danish social experiment established by illegal takeover in 1971 of a deserted military area. Christiania is in the old part of Copenhagen, definitely worth a visit and close to many other interesting sites.

I had a green curry dish (coconut, chicken) and I think it was exactly how it is suppose to taste. Strong with fresh chili , thai basil, and other vegetables. Yummi!:)

Although the location is special – in the middle of the ‘anarchist’ community and the entrance is rather rough, this place has become ‘mainstream’. A place for the Christmas office party, when the boss decides to treat his staff to an ‘adventure’. So go there and take some pictures so you can tell some strong stories back home, but don’t... Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
