We have been in all 3 Famo restaurants in Copenhagen!! And we absolutely love it! As a dutch-latvian couple we have lots of guests coming over and it's safe to say - this is the place to take them to. The one in Saxogade is the one we take our moms to. Not too cozy place (tables sooo close to... More

Famo follows a concept introduced some years ago to Copenhagen (I think by L'altro on Torvegade): set menu of antipasti, primo, secondo and dolce, no choice (all is decided by the cook). A few years ago Famo served seven antipasti, this has, alas, been reduced to four - which is a pity because the antipasti usually are the most varied... More

Took 20 mins to seat me after chef forgot to tell hostess I was waiting for my table. They offered a glass of wine while I waited but 20 mins in 50 degree weather is a bit unacceptable. They only sat me because I went back inside to complain otherwise I could have been out there for longer. Food was... More

This was our best meal while in Copenhagen for 5 days. It was a prix fixe menu more or less. The antipasto sampler was delicious. We had a couple of choices for main dishes. They order only enough for the evening so one of the options was no longer available. The pasta course was perfectly prepared. We loved every part... More

This restaurant is Italian, and dishes are made with mainly Danish produce. The problem is, they only have a set menu, which consists of 3 or 4 shared antipasti, a 'primo', main course and dessert. If you try to order just (say) a starter and main, it costs more than the 380DKK for the all-in (about £44, which sounds fairly... More

The restaurant is really tiny and I would suggest to make a reservation. The menu is inexistent, you get what they have. You can choose between the full menu (selection of starters, main course and dessert) or choose just one starter and the main course, no other combination is allowed. The customer service is not great at all. The explanation... More

When our reservation at Noma's sister restaurant 108 got burnt (literally! they called saying they had to close due to fire) a friend living in the city recommended Famo and all 7 of us were glad we got to dine here. Menu was small, some of us had the 7 course set menu while others went ala carte. But basically... More

From the moment we arrived till the minute we left a nice experience. We had the set six course meal and wow it was good. A great price for just excellent food. The staff are knowledgable and gave great guidance with wine and the menu. Certainly worth a visit

You should be aware of that you have not much choice regarding food in this restaurant. They only offer a 4-course menu and you can choose to take all or some of the 4 courses. Most of us took all 4 courses. We liked most of the food very much but there were also a few things that (in our... More

No choice, extremely expensive, very moderate spaghetti for 140,-DK; Wine list overpriced. Service very, very friendly, but inadequate.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
