Ismageriet has two ice-cream shops - one on Amager (not far away from Bella Center) and one close to Emdrup Torv. I could write a lot of flattering words about these places and their ice-cream, but i will say only one thing - it is the best ice-cream I have eaten in my life so far (and yes, not even... More

This is a fantastic ice cream place! If the sun is out expect a huge queue, but it is worth the wait, if you are an ice cream fan.

Absolutely awesome ice-cream. Friendly staff lets you try out several flavors before you decide. Homemade and fantastic. Highly recommended. New branch in Søborg also fantastic.

The ice cream was fantastic and there was a nice selection of flavors. This is a great stop on the way out to the airport, but well worth a little extra drive out of the city just for a nice ice cream cone.

This is great hidden gem in Copenhagen (actually Amager), that serves great ice cream. The place often has long lines of people waiting, but it's definitely worth the wait. Staff is all in "uniform" with a 50's look and there's a great atmosphere.

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
