I am totally in love in this place. They have the best ice cream ever! The consistency, the taste, flavours... Achh they are amazing! I guess that the line to counter will prove me right. Absolutely recommend!

Even in bad weather the place is fairly busy and should the sun shine on Copenhagen the queue will be long but the wait is not bad. Partly because of the effectiveness of the staff and partly because the ice cream is worth the wait! Delicious an freshly made it is definitely worth a visit - or several!

Very good icecream, probably the best in Copenhagen. Minus: Always a long line if the sun is out and too small sitting area.

Ismageriet serves the BEST ice cream in Copenhagen and really worth a visit, even though it is placed "in the middle of nowhere" (Metro nearby, though). They always have a wide variety of great flavours - my favourite is the famous licorice+white chocolate + lemon-blend. It is to die for - especially if you love licorice. There is always a... More

I live close to this place that really made it from the very beginning to a hugh succes. It is quite remarkable that people from far away choose to visit Ismageriet almost all year round to taste various flavours of wonderful icecream. You can also buy softice and coffee. I highly recommend the place.

I have lived quite close to this amazing ice cream place, so I am a frequent guest, and there is no one who tops this! I love the ice cream, produced by low-fat ecological local milk, and with local fruit and berries when it's in season. The lemon sorbet is to die for, and the white chocolate and the hazelnut... visiting Copenhagen in the summer dont miss this small icebar located outside the city. People drive hours to get the homemade ice and you will never find the place empty. worth the time and Money.

Staying in Amager

Neighbourhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
