We got lucky dropping in on Chicky Grill the first night in Copenhagen, then went back every evening with our kids for the rest of our stay! Really nice family run place with tasty, no frills food at decent prices. Good idea to reserve a table if you can, but even though we didn't we only ever waited about 30 minutes until one was free, and the waiter came outside to call us when a space became available - which is basic table service 101 but so rare these days! we were sat next to all kinds while we were there - couples, tourists, locals dining alone, big groups of Danes out for drinks and burgers. If you're in Copenhagen and fancy trying some home style Danish cuisine in a warm, friendly atmosphere - 100% recommended.

Fantastic! Danish comfort food served in a rowdy, fun atmosphere. If you are looking for haute cuisine or fine service, you might not like it. But if you like the feel of drinking and eating some belly warming food with your rough and tumble friends? This is the place. We loved it!

We went here recommended by our freetour guide and it was a complete success. It is one of the cheapest restaurants with quality food that you will find. They have typical dishes and the service was unbeatable. I put a photo of what we ate and what it cost us (2 dishes and a starter, 34.-€).

I was surprised that I felt cheated upon receiving - and eating - my Møllehjul. An ton of fries in sauce topped by a small super well done beer. I was not expecting great food, but it was shocking that I paid that much (100 DKK) for such a bland and underwhelming meal, and basically 95 % side and sauce. And that’s taking into consideration the very affordable prices.

Two people visited at night.
There were only locals around.
We ordered one traditional Danish dish each.
Pork saute, crispy skin and fat, a little bit of fat left over, 100 kroner
Pork meatballs in white sauce (today's recommendation), meatballs not stewed, more like hamburger steak, there was a lot of potato, so we left some. 100 kroner, beer 30 kroner

Entering in the restaurant I felt like I was in the wrong place.
A small place fulfilled of young people chatting, laughing and having fun.
Eating looked like a side interest.
Nevertheless, the food was absolutely delicious and the service better than expected.
Prices were low so I wonder why I didn't discover it earlier...

We ate here twice on our visit to Copenhagen and both times had delicious local food. Both times people queuing to get in and tables refill as soon as someone moves.
Food amazing. Roast Pork is a speciality here and they have a different dish of the day. Fish was very tasty as was the Chicken & Asparagus pies.
Would go again if we were staying longer

The staff was really nice. I ordered stegt flæsk med persillesovs, I've never had this dish before, so I cannot say really say if the food was good or not. Me personally I did not really like this dish, but I have nothing to compare it to. The ambiance was really cute, the restaurant is very little, there is good music and its just a vibe :) I'll go there again, I'll just order something I know I like.

Stumbled across this wonderful family run restaurant with homely Danish dishes. Small and friendly with a local welcome. If you want an authentic experience this is a must visit in the meatpacking district. Went on successive nights as enjoyed it so much. Thank you Chickygrill!

Once again a fantastic experience in Kødbyen's very own Chicky grill. Super Danish food as Danish food should be. A smiling and service oriented person. Tidslommen is super cozy and is definitely worth a visit :)
