Really delicious tacos and very friendly stuff. Unfortunatelly they were not very attentive: first they forgot to bring us some dishes and then they brought the wrong bill.

After wanderings the streets in the cold we decided to stop for some diner here. The menu had lost of options and it really got out tasty buds buzzing! I ordered: Beef in Whiskey - this was really tasty! Goats cheese with honey and pine nuts - again I loved this! Chorizo in honey - though this was more like... More

Good service and some tasty tapas. Particularly enjoyed the whisky beef. Good drinks selection and a delicious desert of baked creme fraiche, strawberries and lime. All in all a good experience.

Tried this by chance. Was very positively surprised. You probably need about four tapas to make it a dinner.

Gamla stan can be seen as a tourist trap but you can find some good restaurants there too! This is one of those places, visited by local customers. Nice tapas selection. Huge portion for all the dishes which are not tapas! Friendly service but slow! Would definitely visit again.

II and a friend met for coffee with our prams. it was not a very charming place to start with but one waiter ruined the whole visit. He complanied in a very rude manner that we were taking up to much space. We were there on a weekday and the only customers there. We were not allowed to take up... More

We had great tasting Tapas with our Swedish friends on arrival in Stockholm Old Town. Whatever you can think "Spanish" was available on the menu. And, it was a glorious day sunny day too.

We came here on our first night and sat outside. The tapas all seemed to be reasonably priced and the portions were decent too. We left stuffed and all for about 360Kr, which included two beers! Entertainment was duly provided by all the local Pokémon go hunters that seemed to converge on Gamla stan!

We came here for tapas one night. It was pretty warm inside but it was affordable, delicious food and the service was fantastic! We were so glad we stopped and we will definitely return!

It is a casual place, with no frill, but the food is good and the service excellent. We order 10 plates for the four of us and it was plenty. Everything was good. It is an excellent value for money. In fact we have been there twice on our one week visit in Stockholm.

Tabac opened in 1996 and was by then one of the first tapas restaurants in Stockholm. Every tapas we do is made with so much love and joy. Come by to enjoy the Spanish music, the crowd, drinks and the food of course. We look forward to serve you!

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
