This version of the ubiquitous Kebab joints is set inside a quaint alley off the main Gamla Stan street. You actually have to stoop a bit to enter. The inside is small, about a dozen cramped seats. The food is standard, and priced low. Quantity is a bit lower that the same combo served at Drottninggatan. The owner was very... More

I was looking for a halal restaurant in Stockholm, and somehow found myself next to this restaurant. Ordered my meal, which was pretty cheap for Stockholm standard, and really enjoyed it. If I visit Stockholm again, I know where to eat. :)

Located in ´midst the old town gamla stan on a small place you find this litte restaurant. The meals are not expensive, the salads fresh and you get some soft drinks for a reasonable price. You get your meal yourself from the friendly staff and sit down under the trees on the small romatic place called gåstorget.

The reason for giving 5 stars for this place is because of the inexpensive and large portions this restaurant in an expensive city like Stockholm. The food is average but it's value for money.

It's difficult to eat out cheaply in Stockholm but this place serves large portions at reasonable prices. It's a cafe and not exactly fine dining but if you're on a budget it does the job. My veggie friend enjoyed the falafel and said there was enough to feed 3 people. I had chicken and chips - the chicken was on... More

In a rainy day trying not to spend $$$ since a peace of cake cost $12 in a coffee shop in the area, we discovered this tiny place with a great food and an outstanding service. I was surprise to pay so little for what we got.

It's an ordinary kebab place. Nothing special. The food is fine but not extraordinary. The interior could be a bit nicer.

I commend you to order the special menu. Oriental rice, falafel, ground beef steak, veal, breaded chicken, breaded cauliflower and... More

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
