I went to this central restaurant with my family and we were really happy after our visit! Central location on the heart of Gamla Stan, good food and nice waiters. Maybe it's a bit overpriced but still very good.

Staff were really helpful and explained dishes and drink options. A slightly larger restaurant compared to some in Gamla Stan, but still feels warming and cozy. Portions were a good size and well priced for Sweden. Meat dishes were well cooked and tasted great. Recommended

One usually thinks that having lunch in a nordic restaurant involves a great investment, especially when you are trying to make a long trip. But Slingerbulten gather both the great quality of healthy nordic food and the swedish hospitality. For only 25€ I have eaten a shared starter (salmon with a tasty mustard, and grilled bread), a main course (herring... More

Not easy to get a table here, but it's worth a short wait. Food is fairly reasonably priced for the area and they have a great selection of Swedish beers. Friendly and efficient service.

Very happy with the food. The staff were very friendly. Cosy atmosphere, a little narrow spaces between tables. The only bad thing is the guest bathroom. Its awful. Feels like a public restroom, dirty, old fashioned, not taken care of. Toilet brush from 1993.

I ate here twice in the last 4 days, I had the Salmon once and the traditional meatballs the other. Both dishes blew me away! Highly recommend to anybody who wants to eat some traditional Swedish food in the old town (Gamla Stan)

Great food, in particular the reindeer starter and main dish. The typical meatball were good too. Dessert selection is limited, but the chocolate mousse is very tasty.

It's very packed on New Year's Eve, limited choices on the menu. The beef and potato are good. Very nice ambience

The food here was fabulous. The service was excellent. The prices were good. The menu was very good but the specials of the day are worth exploring.

I arrived early to ensure that tables were still available as I did not book one in advance. The restaurant was charming and the food served was great. The potato pancakes that accompanied the salty pork reminded me of Swiss Rösti I have tried in Switzerland. The mushroom risotto did not disappoint too. The food portions were large and reasonably... Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
