This is a great cafe in the centre of Stockholm. There is a wide selection delicious pastries to choose from. The staff are friendly on has good knowledge about the contents, so if you have any allergies just ask them what you can eat.

This place has been in Stockholm for generations. Oh the pastry! Go to the back rooms and you will enter a very Swedish homey atmosphere. Elegantly understated and take a cup and plate from the many to pour yourself a coffee or tea and sit in the comfy room.

It was crowded when we got there but when you see all those cakes and pastries you kinda forget about everyone else haha. I wanted to try the Princess Tarta/Torta/Torte since ages and when I heard we were going to Stockholm Vete-Katten was the first place that got on my mind. If I ever visit Stockholm again I know where... More

The place is popular, which is also it's downfall: we looked 15 minutes after we bought the pastry for a place to sit. The pastries were OK, but I would rather have gone to a place with more room to sit

Vete-Katten is one of those rare cafés that looks like it has been there for ever and not changed and is nothing like the big chain coffee shops. Wonderful atmosphere, Great choice of baked goods, from traditional cinnamon buns to lovely pastries and cakes. Good coffee too. Quite a big place. They also serve lunch (soup, pies, sandwiches). If you've... More

We'd heard about Vete-Katten from Swedish relatives who knew we were fans of fika (Swedish coffee-break sweets, etc). We found this super-packed place with lots of people eating desserts, having coffee, but also meals. Order at counter, prepared dishes brought to table. We were there mid-afternoon but hadn't eaten lunch, so ended up ordering lunch and a dessert and a... More
