This was very delightful to enjoy. The staff was incredibly funny and animated. The space was very cozy and well designed to feel "ancient". I would say that it would have been better to have gone a bit later when it started to get busier...More

What a fun night! This place is everything expected and then some! Where to start... not to spoil the surprise, but the evening begins with a fun element! Then it just gets better and better. The service was outstanding. The linden mead was delightful. The...More

We had a blast here. When you arrive, a Viking waiter uses a horn to announce your entrance in the dining area. The food was good and the vibe just amazing. Very loud but rightly so. The only bad thing: way too pricey!

We thought this would be a gimmicky place with lousy food - we were so wrong! Great food served in a fun setting - and great service! Do not miss!

Turned up at 6pm and was a little too quiet, but it soon filled up. The atmosphere was great, very lively with live entertainment, a man playing the hurdy gurdy. Service was exceptional and we loved the chilli mead. They let us try three different...More

Restaurant would cater to tourists with a Viking theme, surprisingly good food though, prices are above ever age in an expensive city but the atmosphere and experience would be included. Fun option for dinner with visitors.

I recommend this place to people wishing to try a different dining experience. In this restaurant of Gamla Stan (Stockholm historical centre) you are thrown into the past getting a real taste of the Vikings time. The food (mainly meat) is served in characteristic plates...More

This restaurant is nice if you are looking for the ambience and some Viking experience. This will add to your Stockholm visit. Prices are on the higher side. Portions are good. They have good beers and mead from different countries.

A wonderful restaurant with super service and great food. The risotto was very good, the fish was super (with a glob of butter on it) and the beef with gravy was super. The two piece music guys played local music and gave the evening a...More

This place is a treat if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary. The place itself is beautiful and one of the oldest buildings on the street. Back in the day it used to be a wine cellar. When you arrive you will be...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

Dogs are allowed, but only on week nights. On week ends we cannot secure the dogs from getting stept on by rowdy guests.

I don't really know, but you can check in their website. They accept reservations and it's good to make one 'cause the restaurant is usually full.

Aifur Restaurant & Bar is named after the legendary Viking ship Aifur and the result of 15 years of accumulated knowledge and research about life, food and culture from the years 700-1100, merged with skilled and knowledgeable staff in a great location in ”Gamla stan”, the Old Town of Stockholm. Our kitchen is historical informed and for those who are just thirsty there is a seperate bar area.
