Never been to anywhere like this before. The atmosphere/live music is brilliant and the great food and drink is an added bonus! Joseph and the team are so welcoming and had us laughing throughout the evening. We only went for drinks the first night but...More

We hadn't booked but were warmly welcomed by a charming lady running the cloakroom. She nipped off to have a chat with a Viking and got us in. The place is decked out like a Viking banqueting suite with benches running alongside massive trestle tables....More

We visited after our ghost tour and what a night we had! Already on a high after our thrilling walk round the old town we entered this Viking world and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The barman upstairs was great with the kids whilst we...More

We were sold on the idea of Viking Themed dinner and made reservations ahead of time. All the setting including wait staff costume and food options, they did not disappoint us. Since our group was there at the opening, we got to welcome new comers...More

Visited for my boyfriends birthday in the first week of February and it did not disappoint. We were placed on a table at the back of the room overlooking everyone so it felt very special. We were attended to often and there was a live...More

What an entertaining dinner! The place was pack and you definitely need to reserve a table. We arrived early to avoid to wait outside in the cold but since we had a reservation, they let us in right away. As soon as you enter, you...More

Yes - it's a tourist trap - we knew that going into it. But it was SOOO fun. Loud and crowded - but enjoyed meeting people from all over the world at our table. Loved it!

Although the first vibe might be of a touristy place, you soon discover a unique experience. The mood is great involving all customers, in a underground location with a viking feeling. The food was spectacular and the beer too. A must visit. Make sure you...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

I don't really know, but you can check in their website. They accept reservations and it's good to make one 'cause the restaurant is usually full.

I didn't see a children's menu, and to be honest with the atmosphere of the bar I am not sure it would be suitable for children, it can get a little rowdy.

Aifur Restaurant & Bar is named after the legendary Viking ship Aifur and the result of 15 years of accumulated knowledge and research about life, food and culture from the years 700-1100, merged with skilled and knowledgeable staff in a great location in ”Gamla stan”, the Old Town of Stockholm. Our kitchen is historical informed and for those who are just thirsty there is a seperate bar area.
