This small but charmy Kebab & Falafel eatery has some well kept secrets. I will reveal some of them here... This restaurant was founded in 1983 by the owner who brought falafel and kebabs to Sweden. The restaurant was his second startup after a successful launch of St:Eriks Kebab two years earlier. Back then no one had ever heard of... More

Went there with a friend and thought of having something cheap as Gamla Stan is quite an expensive area and touristy area. We enjoyed the food and the service there.

This is one of my "go to" restaurants in Stockholm. Because of my schedule, I don't have time for a long sit down dinner, but I don't want to eat fast food at the train station. I saw the sign for Jerusalem Kebab while walking through Gamla Stam. The menu looked good and the price was right. The food is... More

By far one of the best Turkish restaurants I have ever eaten at! Friendly staff were extremely helpful with accommodating for my peanut allergy and happy to talk me through all the possible ingredients! The special mix was especially good and I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a warm quite atmosphere with excellent food whilst passing... More

The Jerusalem offers very authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. I had the falafel which was great. Reasonable prices, good portions, and friendly service make this an attractive alternative to fast food while in Stockholm.

We stopped here while walking around the old town, ordered from the restaurant (which was more like a take-out counter than a restaurant and then waited outside in a quiet and very pleasant small square for our meal to be served. My kebab was pretty good, and the surroundings were a quiet oasis. Prices were inexpensive - it was a... More

Portions were good. Square close by to eat outside. Reasonable prices. Good alternative to expensive sit down restaurants.

Ate there with my husband on our first day in Stockholm. We checked tripadvisor and thought it was a reasonable option, close to where we were and well rated. What a bad choice. We both contracted food poisoning there! More than 24h just to start recovering.... The worst experience of our lives. DO NOT RISK IT!!! It's not worth losing... More

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
